By taking the reins of the house Valentino Alessandra Facchinetti became the soul of the Italian flagship. To seduce without rushing, the designer had to reach register collections in modernity while sliding in the footsteps of the master. In this sense, the winter 2009 fashion show was a great success, giving it the green light to infuse the brand in a new direction, with the first stage advertising campaign…
After some legitimate questions, the autumn-winter Alessandra Facchinetti presentation reassured aficionados of the brand confirmed its potential: the one that had previously worked for Gucci and Moncler had lost none of his ability to combine elegance, femininity and precision.
At the same time, the models – while clearly displaying their DNA Valentino – have gained in clarity, allowing to reach a younger clientele looking for stylish clothes but obvious. We find here also the main objective of the new artistic director: reposition Valentino dress to the young active women who previously did not feel concerned by the carmine red of the Italian designer collections.
For this, Alessandra Facchinetti relies heavily on the advertising campaign that was recently photographed by Peter Lindbergh in Paris. Through this medium, she hopes to raise the profile of the Valentino label (which it should boost growth) and attract the attention of new customers, while remaining within the spirit of the house. This is why the photographs were taken in Paris (synonymous with timeless elegance), while the models were directed to focus on the image of a strong woman, a kind of working girl globetrotter in harmony with the times.
Moreover, Facchinetti wanted more than anything out Valentino cliché of luxury home real tour inaccessible ivory. Through its work, the designer wanted to place Valentino closer to women, offering them a flattering wardrobe, boldly elegant but always turned towards modernity.
The cast of the advertising campaign promises already made the interesting sights, linking the frail beauty of Angela Lindvall than most glamorous Isabeli Fontana, accompanied neo dandy podiums, Taylor Fuchs.. .
