Lane Crawford, true luxury consumption island based open Hong Kong, took the opportunity of the Olympics to associate the international fashion in a major event for China. Thus was set up “The Collective: Synergy in Fashion”. The latter is composed of 12 of the biggest names in fashion: Phillip Lim, Alberta Ferretti, Alexander McQueen, Burberry Prorsum, Costume National, Emilio Pucci, Givenchy, Martin Margiela Neil Barrett, Rick Owens, Stella McCartney and Yves Saint Laurent.

Each of them was given carte blanche to imagine the most incredible costumes of Olympic sport of their choice. So while Stefano Pilati has taken to design a holding sprinter directly inspired by the legend of Icarus, Alberta Ferretti magnified a leotard GRS, while Riccardo Tisci designed the most modern archer costumes and that Stella McCartney devised a horsewoman horsewoman that competitor…

These creations worthy of a Games opening parade, will first be exhibited at the Contemporary Art Museum in Beijing, as part of an exhibition celebrating “The Fashion in Motion” (motion mode) and will be presented in the Lane Crawford showcases all summer, only to be purchased at an auction to benefit UNICEF.
